A Picture Perfect Evening : Ally & Rich’s Engagement Session in Downtown Bangor

There’s something magical about downtown Bangor in the evening, when the historic brick buildings catch the golden light and the streets come alive with a gentle bustle. This was the perfect backdrop for Ally and Rich’s engagement session, where every corner offered a new opportunity to capture their love story.

As we strolled through downtown, Ally and Rich’s excitement was contagious. The couple made the journey from Portland to Bangor for their engagement session, and I was thrilled to show them around our charming downtown for their photos.

Exploring Downtown Bangor

The session started at West Market Square, where the vintage architecture provided a timeless framework for their modern love story. Despite the freezing temperatures, Ally and Rich’s warmth and style shone through in every frame. Their natural chemistry made my job easy – every laugh was genuine, every embrace authentic. Between shots, we chatted about Rich’s dedication to Jiu Jitsu and Ally’s adventures learning to ski this past winter. Their shared enthusiasm for trying new things and supporting each other’s passions was evident in every interaction.

As we explored downtown, the fading daylight cast a warm glow over the historic buildings. Our final stop brought us outside Paddy Murphy’s, where Ally and Rich excitedly shared their plans to warm up with dinner at the Irish pub after our session. Their enthusiasm for trying local spots – those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

One of the session’s highlights came when we explored the hidden alleyways between the historic downtown buildings near Pickering Square. These tucked-away spaces created perfect frames for intimate photos, and the resulting images capture both the urban charm of Bangor and the organic nature of Ally and Rich’s relationship.

We wrapped up the session with some final shots outside Paddy Murphy’s, where despite the chilly evening, Ally and Rich’s warmth and joy created that perfect moment of magic – one that perfectly embodied their love story.
